Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

We are having a new Competition.  Yay!!!

It will close at the end of March and we want to see your best card and/or layout using AED.

We will award one major prize for the best AED layout and another major prize for the best AED card.  We will also give away a smaller encouragement prizes to entries we feel warrant a special mention.

The prizes will be made up from the new Bubs 'n Buds range so this is a great opportunity to get your hands on a selection of these products.  The competition is open to international entries and all that is required is that you use some AED product in your entry and that you upload it into our gallery before the end of March... so if your local scrapbook (or craft) shop does not stock AED get them to contact us or hop online to order from someone who does *g*

Good luck with your entries and upload them to our Feb 2006 competition folder in our gallery.

Major prizes will have a retail value of approx $100 AUD and minor prizes approx $25 AUD

We have had great response to our past competitions and we have not had one now for several months now so hopefully you are all really fired up about this one.

Please make sure you let as many people know about the competition as possible as we love to see what people do with our products.

Is there a limit to how many LO's you can upload?
Also is there an age limit...are junior scrappers allowed to enter?

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

There is no limit on how many times you can enter... just on the number of prizes you can win *g* We'd love to see as many entries as you want to enter... and we love to see entries from younger people.  We should really do a competition specifically for juniors at some stage as we enjoy encouraging them.

I look forward to seeing some more of your entries soon

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

I must say that I am really impressed with the amount and quality of entries we are getting for this competition.  There is still a few weeks to go before it closes but already there is some great stuff in the folder.  If you haven't got your entry in don't stress as you have until the end of March.

Oh by the way... it's great to see some cards being entered... but I am sure we could see heaps more. *g*

Good luck to you all.

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

We are really pleased with how many great entries there are for the comp Cath... and I am still expecting some more... It's going to be pretty easy picking winners too as I will be getting all of the DT to rank their top 5 favourite layouts and top 5 cards and then just total them all up... so it will hopefully be a really impartial process... LOL nothing is ever that straightforward and I am sure we will be offering a few encouragement prizes as there are lots of people we want to thank for entering and to encourage to keep using our products.

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

hmmm well I didn't say you guys would have it easy Simone... just me and Al in making the final decisions LOL

it is going to be very difficult as there are loads of great entries... but when it all wraps up you just need to look at them and try to pick your top 5... at least I am not asking you to just pick one of them.

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

Maynard

Thank you for running this competition.   I can't scan 12 x 12 layouts but can scan cards so I am able to enter this time.   I went over to All About Scrapbooks on Saturday morning to get some more of your paper as I didn't want to cut into what I have waiting to scrapbook.   I made 2 cards Saturday night and another one yesterday and have put them into the gallery.
I have also emailed to you the instructions of how they were done if anyone wants to know.
I printed out the instructions for the first two and took them along to our small stamp group yesterday afternoon and shared some of the paper with my friend as she wanted to make something similar.

I had a look at the gallery and you are going to have a hard time picking the winner.   There are lots of beautiful entries there.

Have a good week
Best wishes

Margaret Ashby

Re: Feb 2006 Layout & Card Competition

Thanks for your beautiful cards Margaret... it's good to see so many cards in the competition.... and I am so glad we will be deciding this by committee as it would be hard for just one or two people to pick winners here.

We are thrilled with the amount and the quality of the entries and are excited that so many people are having such a good time with our products.

There is only a few more days before the competition closes now... hopefully we will get some more entries.

To be fair for everyone who may be wanting to get a late entry in we will accept entries up until 2am Friday night 31st March/Saturday morning 1st April (Melbourne time)... so if you are still wanting to get an entry in get busy *g*
