So This Is Christmas - 12x12 patterned paper
24 great new patterned papers for Christmas. Following on from our popular foil embossed christmas papers from last year we have revitalised some of these designs and extended the range with new designs, including a new colour theme of royal blue and silver. As well as the foiled papers this new range offers 12 great glitter designs. Check them out here.

We have a new range of paper - Flights of Fancy. It was released at Melbourne Paperific 2 weeks ago and orders have just begun shipping so look out for it in the shops.
The Flights of Fancy range is a beautiful and richly coloured range featuring butterflies, faeries and dragonflies and, like our Christmas Celebration range, is covered with gold and silver foil. We are currently having it photgraphed by a professional photographer and will have images as soon as possible. In the meantime we have some rather ordinary images in our shopping cart if you are interested in seeing an impression of these new designs.
To coincide with our Flights of Fancy range we have released some new chipboard products including:

AED Competition now on!
To celebrate the launch of our new Bubs ‘n Buds range we are holding a competition that will run until the end of March. Upload your AED layouts and/or cards to our Feb 2006 Competition folder in our gallery to be in the running for one of several great B’nB prize packs. Major prizes of a complete collection of the Bubs ‘n Buds range wil be awarded for the best layout and the best card using any AED products. Smaller consoloation prizes will also be on offer for entries that receive a special mention. This competition is open to crafters across the Globe so make sure you find out where to get a hold of AED products if you are an international crafter who wants to enter. remember if your local scrapbook or craft shop does not stock AED send them to our website for ordering details. A list of retailers in the USA will appear over the next couple of days and UK & European retailers will start to come on board very soon.

Our new Bubs ‘n Buds range began shipping while we were away so that it would be in the stores in time for Valentines day. AED went back to the Melbourne Showgrounds for the first time since the hailstorm washout of Paperific earlier this year. Paperific was awesome and it was great to release our Christmas papers in August.
This was one of the biggest Paperific crowds we have seen in many years and everyone had a great time playing with our new products and watching the demonstrations. Maynards big tip from this show was to use our translucent glitters for a really great result when stamping with Hot Set powder. Ask him to show you how next time you see him at a show.
Thanks to everyone who helped us man our booth and who made the wonderful samples we had on show.

AED goes to Sydney for SIA 2010. It was great to see 33 booths of wholesalers there for all of the retailers to visit. Again we went all out and had a fabulous themed booth to go with our Eastern Elements oriental papers and stamps. We had a fun show and really enjoyed making such a fun themed booth and dressing up for the 2 days.
A huge thanks to Peg Hewitt and Jen Hodge who manned the booth with me and really got into the spirit of the theme. They were great helping with our card class and Make & Take table at the booth as well as helping setup.

Paperific March 2010
Paperific came to Melbourne early this year with its first ever show in March. New owner Naomi Swan was keen to see the show do well and it started great considering it was a new month and a long weekend, however this is Melbourne right LOL. On Saturday afternoon the heavens opened up and a freak hailstorm washed the show out. Amid fears of electrocution and the roof collapsing we were evacuated from the Showgrounds after the building we were in failed to handle the freak hail storm. Luckily our stall stayed dry but only a couple of feet from our stall the hail pelted down INSIDE the venue and in some parts of the venue water cascaded down the walls saturating the carpets, dripping through light fittings and knocking out the cash registers at the entrance. Although the weather was fine the soggy carpets and general unsafe nature of the venue meant that Sunday was cancelled altogether.
It was unfortunate the show was cut short as we released new paper, new stamps, some great new flocking powders and a new pink dual speed heat gun and were looking forward to more people getting to play with all of that stuff.
Maynard didn’t let the storm phase him and even when the lights went off he still continued to demonstrate our new powders, stamps and heat gun thanks to his trusty ot-lite and an uncanny ability to remain calm in the face of imminent danger. Needless to say we are all pleased he did finally stop and that he wasn’t electrocuted!

AED had another great booth at SIA in Sydney last week. No prizes for best booth this year but a great time was had at our fun party themed booth. It was a perfect opportunity to spend time with the shop staff and owners who attended and our new products, fun booth and fabulous show specials made for a great show. Special thanks must go to Jen Hodge and Peg Hewitt from the AED Design Team for being on hand and helping with setting up the stall, running our workshop and our make and takes. A big thankyou also goes to Lorraine Bate for her invaluable assistance before and during the show helping us setup such a fun booth.

Back from our Exciting trip to the USA for CHA!
